The Santiago Infotech Start-Up meeting will celebrate the brain drain from the USA on Tuesday, February 8 at 6:30 PM on the second floor of the California Cantina. The featured speaker will be Benjamín Coronel, who grew up in Santiago, emigrated to the USA to pursue a successful career as an actuary, and has returned to Santiago.

Benjamín will discuss his aspirations for his new data mining consultancy which has included clients such as LAN Chile. He will suggest ways that the traditional brain drain to the USA can be reversed in the direction of Chile, and how Chile can economically attract more migrants from Argentina, Peru, Brazil, and Europe.
